display production process

Once the models have been approved, a start can be made on the artwork, according to the cutting die drawing. To ensure seamless harmonisation between the various disciplines, we have opted to produce the cutting dies in-house. As a result, knowledge and experience can be rapidly exchanged between the divisions.

Following submission of the files, the DTP department checks them according to a number of quality standards, to ensure the optimum printing result. If necessary, corrections are made and on request print proofs can be sent out for inspection.

Once the files have been approved, the printing plates can be produced. Holbox produces its printing plates using the Computer to Plate (CTP) process. Computer to plate is a technique for the direct production of printing plates from a computer file.
At the single press of a button, the offset plates are produced without the intervention of films. This method saves time, money and the environment and also improves the quality of the finished product.

Once the order has been printed, it is further processed by Holbox. The die production shop at Holbox delivers the cutting die for the cutting machines. Once all the parts have been produced, Holbox turns your display into a single unit.

Various effects are achieved in-line, with a range of lacquers. On request we will be happy to show you our perfect ‘Licked-Lacqued’ sample folder.
